The windshield wiper/washer system consists of the following components:

    • The permanent magnet
    • The positive-park wiper motor
    • The center pivot
    • Two wiper transmissions
    • The arm links
    • The wiper arm and blade assemblies
    • The washer pump motor mounted on the side of the washer solvent container
    • The turn signal-type wiper/washer switch assembly

The turn signal-type wiper/washer switch assembly is an integral component of the combination switch located on the steering column.

The wiper motor drives an arm link attached to the center pivot. The arm links connect to individual transmissions for both the right and left sides. The wiper transmissions are mounted below the windshield in the windshield cowl. The transmission transfers rotary motion from the wiper motor into reciprocating motion at the transmission drive shafts.

The wiper motor is sealed. No service parts are available. Replace the motor if the motor requires service.
