Removal Procedure

    Important: Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and inner trim around the window.

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Use safety glasses and gloves.
  2. From inside the cab, push the weather strip out of the body flange at the 2 corners of the top edge of the window.
  3. Remove the stationary window from the pinchweld flange with the aid of an assistant.

  5. Push the glass out gradually from the inside.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the weather strip to the window.
  2. When the weather strip and the window are assembled together, keep the weather strip parallel with the window.

  3. Lay a string with a diameter measuring 4 mm between the lips of the weather strip.
  4. After installing the string around one full turn, leave the string at the bottom center of the window approximately 100 mm (4 in).

  6. Clean all the dirt off the body flange and the weather strip.

  7. Object Number: 215149  Size: SH
  8. Holding the window from the outside, align the center of the window with the body.
  9. Using a helper inside the cab, pull the string from the inside toward the center of the window.
  10. • Fit the lips gradually into the body flange.
    • In order to keep the window from shifting to one side, support the window securely.
  11. If the weather-strip swells in one area, tap lightly with a rubber mallet in order to distribute the weather-strip evenly.
