Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement Without CTF

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1369909 Size: SH
  1. See Automatic Transmission, top, or Manual Transmission, bottom, for connector position (1).

    2. Object Number: 1369907 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (1).
  4. Loosen the CKP sensor retaining bolt.
  5. Remove the CKP sensor and clip.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1369906 Size: SH
  1. See Automatic Transmission (top), or Manual Transmission (bottom) for connector position (1).
  2. Install the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (1).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the CKP sensor retaining bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining bolt to 6 N·m (52 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (1).
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
