For 1990-2009 cars only
- Using a hydraulic press install the input shaft bearing. Use a suitable plate on the end of the input shaft to press with.
- Install a NEW retaining ring for the input shaft bearing. The retainer rings are available in different thickness. Select a retainer ring thickness that will fit snugly in the groove.
- Install a mainshaft thrust washer in the input shaft.
- Install the mainshaft front bearings. Use an assembly grease to help hold the bearings in place.
- Install the other mainshaft thrust washer.
- Install the retaining ring for the mainshaft front bearing.
