Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 229889  Size: SH
  1. Remove the assist handle bolts.
  2. Remove the assist handle.

  3. Object Number: 588991  Size: SH
  4. Remove the instrument panel right lower corner trim.
  5. Remove the instrument panel right lower trim.
  6. Remove the 4 relay panel mounting screws and position the panel out of the way.

  7. Object Number: 229931  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  9. Remove the blower motor cooling tube.
  10. Remove the blower motor screws.
  11. Remove the blower motor and fan.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 229931  Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor and fan.
  2. Install the blower motor screws.
  3. Install the blower motor cooling tube.
  4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  5. Install the 4 relay panel screws.

  6. Object Number: 229897  Size: SH
  7. Install the instrument panel right lower trim.
  8. Install the instrument panel right lower corner trim.

  9. Object Number: 229889  Size: SH
  10. Install the assist handle.
  11. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Install the assist handle bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
