Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 3913  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator oil cooler. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 4031  Size: SH
  3. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the oil filter adapter.

  4. Object Number: 1398  Size: SH
  5. Remove the attaching clamp bolt.
  6. Remove the attaching clamp.

  7. Object Number: 4031  Size: SH
  8. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1398  Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 4031  Size: SH
  3. Connect the engine oil cooler lines to the oil filter adapter.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the line nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Connect the engine oil cooler lines to the radiator oil cooler. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the line nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1398  Size: SH
  7. Install the attaching clamp and the bolt.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  9. Fill the engine with oil to the proper level.
  10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
