1. Remove any apparent cause for damage to the battery.
2. Remove the damaged battery. Refer to the Removal Procedure in Battery Replacement .
3. If required, replace the Battery Tray. Refer to Battery Tray and Hold Down Retainer Description .
4. If required, replace the Battery Hold Down Retainer. Refer to Battery Tray and Hold Down Retainer Description .
5. Replace the battery. Refer to the Installation Procedure in Battery Replacement .
