Lift Brackets
Caution: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Refer to Engine Cooling.
• | Remove the upper radiator hose. |
• | Remove the lower radiator hose. |
• | Remove both heater hoses. |
• | Refer to Engine Cooling. |
Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Replacement in Engine Controls.
Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
Important: It is not necessary to discharge the A/C refrigerant.
Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Steering.
13.1. | Disconnect the electrical connector from the power steering pump. |
13.2. | Remove the nuts holding the power steering pump to the engine. |
13.3. | Remove the power steering pump mounting bracket bolts and the nut. |
13.4. | Slide the power steering pump mounting bracket forward with the power steering pump still attached. |
13.5. | Remove the stud. |
13.6. | Set the power steering pump and the mounting bracket aside. |

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
32.1. | Remove the right rear lower intake manifold bolts. |
32.2. | Install the J 41427 marked RIGHT REAR. |
32.3. | Install the retaining bolts. |
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
32.4. | Remove the left front lower intake manifold bolts. |
32.5. | Install the J 41427 marked LEFT FRONT with the arrow pointing to the front of the engine. |
32.6. | Install the retaining bolts. |
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).
Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb in).
21.1. | Loosely assemble the mounting bracket over the stud. |
21.2. | Install a nut to the stud finger tight. |
21.3. | Install the three bolts finger tight. |
21.4. | Install the two nuts to the power steering pump finger tight. |
Tighten
Tighten the nuts and bolts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).
