  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Connect a DMM test lamp from instrument cluster cavity A6 to BT.
  3. Test for a short to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a DMM test lamp at the truck body control module connector C1 cavity B10 LT BLU(1134 and DBt).
  2. Test for short to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair open in ORN(240) wire between instrument cluster cavity A10 IP fuse block.

System OK

Replace instrument cluster printed circuit board.

Does the brake indicator turn off?

Locate and repair open in LT BLU(1134) wire between truck body control module connector C1 cavity B10 and park brake warning switch cavity A.

System OK

  1. Connect a DMM from electronic brake control module connector C2 cavity A to ground.
  2. Test for short to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step  14

Locate and repair upon between electronic brake control module C2 cavity A and IP fuse block.

System OK

  1. Connect a DMM between electronic brake control module connector C2 cavity H to ground.
  2. Test for short to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step  16

Locate and repair open in PPL(680) wire between the electronic brake control module connector C2 cavity H and the brake pressure warning switch cavity B.

System OK

  1. Connect a DMM between the brake pressure warning switch BLK(350) wire at cavity A to ground.
  2. Test for a short to ground.

Does the test lampp light?

Go to Step  18

Locate and repair open in BLK(350) wire between brake pressure warning switch and ground G102.

System OK

Replace brake pressure warning switch.
