Inspect the tape player for obstruction through the tape door.

Are there any obstructions present?

Important: Improper removal may damage the tape player.

1. Remove the obstruction.
2. Inspect and clean all moving parts and the tape head or use a cleaning cassette.
3. Insert the diagnostic test tape from the J 39916-A Audio System Diagnostic Kit.

Does the test tape operate?
