The CLN indicator is only a reminder that appears after 50 hours of accumulated cassette tape player operation.

  1. Clean the tape head using the cleaning cassette from the J 39916-A Audio System Diagnostic Kit.
  2. Clean the tape path.
  3. Reset the display by pushing and holding the eject button for 5 seconds.

Does the display clear and start a new cycle?
