Did you perform the power windows system check?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  2. Place the side window lockout switch in the NORMAL position.
  3. Connect a test lamp in the appropriate location:
  4. • For the left rear window, between the inoperative window switch connector CKT 1307 (DK BLU) and the right rear window switch
    • For the right front window switch, between CKT 1001 (DK GRN) and ground

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a test lamp at the inoperative window switch connector in the appropriate location:
  2. • For the right front window switch, between CKT 666 (DK BLU) and CKT 667 (BRN)
    • For the left rear and right rear windows switches, CKT 668 (DK BLU) and CKT 669 (BRN)
  3. Operate the window switch between the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test lamp light with the switch in both positions?

  1. Repair an open in CKT 1307 for the rear door between the side window lockout switch and the inoperative window switch.
  2. For the right front door, repair a open in CKT 1307 (DK BLU) or CKT 1001 (DK GRN) between the side window lockout switch and the right front window switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate circuits at the inoperative window motor connector:
  2. • For the left front window, CKT 666 (DK BLU) and CKT 667 (BRN)
    • For the left rear and right rear windows, CKT 668 (DK BLU) and CKT 669 (BRN)
  3. Operate the window switch between the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test lamp light in both positions?

  1. Inspect the inoperative window regulator motor for a poor connection.
  2. Replace the inoperative window switch as needed.

  1. Inspect the inoperative window regulator motor for a poor connection.
  2. Replace the window regulator motor.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit between the inoperative window switch and the window regulator motor:

    • For the right window, CKT 666 (DK BLU) or CKT 667 (BRN)
    • For the left rear or right rear window, CKT 669 (BRN) or CKT 668 (DK BLU)

Is the repair complete?
