- Clean all of the parts in a suitable solvent.
Air dry the parts.
- Inspect the gear teeth for the following conditions:
• | High spots (small shiny spots on the gear teeth mating surface).
High spots could cause gear noise. |
- Inspect the bearing assembly for the following conditions:
(Replace if these conditions exist.)
- Inspect the shaft for the following conditions:
- Use a soft stone or a crocus cloth in order to remove scuffs,
nicks and burrs. If these conditions cannot be removed, replace the component.
- Inspect the O-rings for the following conditions:
