Free up the governor assembly.

Does the rear axle still lock up in turns?

Check for a broken or weak governor flyweight spring. Refer to Locking Differential Disassemble .

Is the governor flyweight spring weak or broken?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the governor assembly and latching bracket.

Does the rear axle still lock up in turns?

Go to Step 5

System OK

Check to see if the flyweight in the governor assembly is stuck open. Refer to Locking Differential Disassemble .

Is the flyweight in the governor assembly stuck open?

Go to Step 6

Replace the governor assembly and latching bracket.

Does the rear axle still lock up in turns?

Go to Step 7

System OK

Check for a broken cam plate and/or governor drive teeth. Refer to Locking Differential Disassemble .

Is the cam plate and/or governor drive teeth broken?

Replace the cam plate, the governor assembly, and the latching bracket.
