Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Access the left door lock and side window switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) to CKT 164 (BLU), terminal A and CKT 165 (BRN), terminal E at the left door lock and side window switch connector C2.
  4. Ensure that the connector C2 remains connected.
  5. Operate the left door lock and side window switch in the UP/DOWN position.
  6. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

Inspect the connection at connector C2.

Is the connection OK?

Go to Step 5

Repair the poor connection at connector C2.

Is the repair complete?

--

Replace the left door lock and side window switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 164 (DK BLU), terminal B at the left side window regulator motor connector and CKT 165 (BRN), terminal E at the left door lock and side window switch connector C2.
  3. Operate the left door lock and side window switch in the UP position.
  4. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 164 (DK BLU) between the left door lock and side window switch connector C2, terminal A and the left side window regulator motor connector terminal B.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Windows System Check

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM to CKT 165 (BRN), terminal A at the left side window regulator motor connector and ground.
  3. Operate the left door lock and side window switch in the DOWN position.
  4. Test for voltage.

Is ignition voltage present?

IGN+

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 165 (BRN) from the left door lock and side window switch connector C2, terminal E to the left side window regulator motor connector terminal A.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Windows System Check

Inspect for a loose connector at the left side window regulator motor.

Are the connections OK?

--

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 11

Repair the connection as necessary.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left side window regulator motor.
