Aligning Sheet Metal
- Start alignments at the
fenders where the fenders meet the front edge of the doors. Work towards the
front of the vehicle.
- Align the rear edge of the fender to within 4-6 mm
(0.16-0.24 in). Ensure that the fender is parallel to the door.
- Align each side of the fender to within 4-6 mm (0.16-0.24 in).
- You may need to adjust the front end sheet metal as a unit under
the following conditions:
• | It is difficult to center the hood |
• | The hood is out of square |
Adjusting Sheet Metal as a Unit
- Loosen the radiator support bolts.
- Lightly push the sheet metal into the proper position.
Tighten
Tighten the radiator support to frame bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
