CONDITION: The 1992 Achieva may exhibit an illuminated ABS light and/or no HTR-AIC operation (HTR-A/C fuse blown). Service conditions are not limited to the example given above; refer to the bulletins referenced below and Section 8A in the 1992 Achieva Service Manual for additional systems which may be affected.
CAUSE: The crankcase vent heater assembly may have shorted out.
CORRECTION: Review Service Manual Update 92-U-95 to determine if crankcase vent heater has shorted out. Replace the crankcase vent heater assembly, (P/N 24572353) if it is shorted. Section 8A-32 in the 1992 Achieva Service Manual shows the wiring schematic for the crankcase vent heater assembly.
