Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the right front splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.

  4. Object Number: 386648  Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine mount strut bolts.
  6. Remove the engine mount strut.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 386648  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine mount strut.
  2. Install the engine mount strut bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount strut bolts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft) + an additional 90 degrees.

  4. Install the right front splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
