Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left front splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.

    2. Object Number: 621555 Size: SH
  2. Remove the two side mount lower nuts.

    3. Object Number: 414963 Size: SH
  3. Support the transmission with a jack and wood block.

    4. Object Number: 621553 Size: SH
  4. Remove the two side mount retaining bolts.
  5. Raise the transmission slightly and remove the side transmission mount.

Installation Procedue
  1. Install the side transmission mount and lower the transmission into position.

    2. Object Number: 621553 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the two side mount retaining bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the side mount retaining bolts to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  3. Install the two side mount lower nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the side mount lower nuts to 25 N·m(18 lb ft).

  4. Install the front left splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
