Removal Procedure

The rear floor heat duct is located behind the center of the dash and the console.

  1. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the right side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side
  3. Remove the left side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side
  4. Remove the bolts holding the floor air duct to the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Remove the floor air duct from the rear seat heat duct.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the floor air duct to the rear seat air duct.
  2. Install the floor air duct to the HVAC module assembly.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the floor air duct bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the air floor duct bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the left side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side
  7. Install the right side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side
  8. Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
