Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser. Refer to Compressor Hose Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the evaporator hose assembly from the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 292751  Size: SH
  5. Remove the radiator assembly. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  6. Remove the condenser (2) from the radiator (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 292751  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the condenser (2) to the radiator (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the condenser bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the radiator assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  4. Install the compressor hose assembly to the condenser. Refer to Compressor Hose Assembly Replacement .
  5. Install the evaporator hose assembly to the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement .
  6. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  7. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  8. Inspect the system operation.
  9. Perform the leak test. Refer to Leak Testing .
