Replace the blower motor relay with a known good relay.

Does the blower motor operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Replace the blower motor relay.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Turn the ignition to the OFF position.

Unplug the blower motor relay.

Check for power at female terminal 86 of blower motor relay receptical.

Is power present?

12V

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to B+ in the blower motor High circuit between the heater A/C control assembly and the blower motor relay. Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Check for power at female terminal 87A of the blower motor relay receptical.

Is power present?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 9

Disconnect the blower resistor assembly connector.

Check for power at terminals A,B,C and D of blower resistor assembly connector.

Is power present ?

12V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 11

Repair short to B+ on the circuit that was found to have power between the heater A/C control assembly and the blower resistor assembly.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Disconnect blower motor connector.

Check terminal B of Blower Motor feed circuit for power.

Is power present?

12V

Go to Step 10

System OK

Repair short to B+ in the blower motor power feed circuit between the blower relay and the blower motor.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Repair short to B+ in the blower resistor circuit between the blower resistor assembly and the blower relay.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?
