Test for a short to battery in the instrument panel dimming lamps circuit (8) between the lamp dimmer module and the right IP junction block. (Turn the ignition on when testing for a short to battery.) Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 3

Test for a short to battery CKT 44 between the dimmer switch and the lamp dimmer module. (Turn the ignition on when testing for a short to battery.) Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
