Notice: Proper stoplamp switch adjustment is essential. Improper stoplamp switch
adjustment may cause brake drag, heat buildup and excessive brake lining wear.
- Remove the driver side instrument panel insulator.
- Turn the switch 90 degrees
counterclockwise in order to unlock the switch.
- Pull the brake pedal upward against the internal pedal stop.
- Position the switch until there is 0.0-2.0 mm (0.0-0.078 in)
between the end of the switch housing (3) and the brake pedal (4).
- Turn the switch 90 degrees clockwise in order to lock the
switch.
- Install the driver side instrument panel insulator.
