Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 740617 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Open the rear compartment.
  3. Release the retainer tabs on the seat back latch pull guide using a small flat-bladed tool from inside the rear compartment.

    4. Object Number: 740621 Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat back latch pull guide from the rear shelf panel, from inside of the car.

    5. Object Number: 740633 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the cables housing retainer from the strikers retainer clips.
  6. Disconnect the cables from the striker rotating the cable up and out from the striker.
  7. Remove the split folding seat back latch from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 740621 Size: SH
  1. Position the seat back latch pull guide to the rear shelf panel, routing the tethers through the rear shelf.

    2. Object Number: 740619 Size: SH
  2. Install the seat back latch pull guide to the rear shelf panel, pressing into place until fully seated.

    3. Object Number: 740633 Size: SH
  3. Connect the cables to the striker rotating the end cable down and into the hole in the latch.
  4. Connect the cables housing retainer to the strikers retainer clips, pressing into place until fully seated.
  5. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
