Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Align the notch in the outside rearview mirror remote control bezel (1) with the tab in the hole at the front of the armrest.
- Push on the base of the outside rearview mirror remote control bezel in order to remove the bezel from the door trim panel.
- Remove the front door inner panel mirror insulator (3).
- Remove the outside rearview mirror nuts (2).
- Remove the outside rearview mirror (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the outside rearview mirror.
- Install the outside rearview mirror nuts (2).
- Tighten the outside rearview mirror nuts in the following order:
- Install the front door inner panel mirror insulator (3).
- Align the notch in the outside rearview mirror remote control bezel (1) with the tab in the hole at the front of the armrest.
- Push on the outside rearview mirror remote control bezel (1) in order to secure the bezel.
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Tighten
Tighten the outside rearview mirror nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
