Remover
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in
General Information.
- Remove the rear tires and wheels. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the rocker panel to rear wheelhouse liner
screw.
- Using J 38778
remove the lower quarter panel to rear wheelhouse liner push-in retainers.
- Remove the rear wheelhouse liner to rear fascia
bolts.
- Remove the rear wheelhouse liner from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Align the rear wheelhouse liner to the rear
wheelhouse.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the rear wheelhouse liner to rear fascia bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear wheelhouse liner to rear fascia bolts to 6 N·m
(53 lb in).
- Install the lower quarter panel to rear wheelhouse
liner push-in retainers.
- Install the rocker panel to rear wheelhouse liner
screw.
Tighten
Tighten the rocker panel to rear wheelhouse liner screw to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the rear tires and wheels. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
