Makes 🢒 Oldsmobile 🢒 2003 🢒 Alero 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the sill trim plate from the rear compartment. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the cargo net, if equipped.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  4. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  5. Remove the trim panel from the rear window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the retainer from the spare tire cover.
  7. Remove the spare tire cover.

    8. Object Number: 460377 Size: SH

    Important: The rear compartment trim panel is a two-piece molded unit.

  8. Fold the right section of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the compartment.
  9. Fold the left section of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the compartment.
  10. Remove the trim panels from the rear compartment.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 460377 Size: SH
  1. Position the folded trim panels into the rear compartment, with the upper panel on the left.
  2. Install the trim panels over the seat brackets, and press the trim panels up under the quarter panels.
  3. Install the trim panel to the rear window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  5. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  6. Install the cargo net, if equipped.
  7. Install the spare tire cover to the rear compartment.

    8. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  8. Install the retainer to the spare tire cover.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the retainer to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  9. Install the sill trim plate to the rear compartment. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
