Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Remove the rear compartment lid applique. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Applique Replacement .
2. Disconnect the lock cable. Spread the plastic lock cylinder housing and pull down.



3. Drill out the lock rivets.
4. Remove the lock cylinder.

1. Position the lock cylinder in the rear compartment lid.



2. Install new rivets.



3. Connect the lock cable by pressing the cable onto the lock cylinder.
4. Install the rear compartment lid applique. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Applique Replacement .

Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement Pontiac

1. Remove the rear compartment lid lock assembly latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .



2. From inside the rear compartment lid, remove the lock cylinder retainer.
3. Remove the lock cylinder.

1. Position the lock cylinder in the rear compartment lid.



2. Install the lock cylinder retainer.
3. Install the rear compartment lid lock assembly latch. Ensure that the latch is fully seated. This action will engage the locking tabs. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
