Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
  2. Remove the brake caliper assembly. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  3. Remove the brake caliper support.
  4. Remove the brake rotor.

Installation Procedure

Important: Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the rotor and brake pulsation.

  1. Clean the mating surfaces on the rotor and the wheel bearing flange.
  2. Install the rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange.
  3. Install the brake caliper support.
  4. Install the brake caliper assembly. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Installation in Tires and Wheels.
