Removal Procedure
- Remove the injector sight
shield fasteners (2).
- Remove the injector sight shield (4) from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
- Remove the vacuum lines
(1) from the solenoid.
- Remove the solenoid bracket fasteners.
- Remove the solenoid and bracket assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the solenoid to bracket fastener.
- Remove the solenoid from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the solenoid to
the bracket.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the solenoid to bracket screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the bracket and solenoid assembly to the vehicle.
- Install the bracket and solenoid assembly bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the vacuum lines to the solenoid (1).
- Install the electrical
connector to the solenoid.
- Install the injector sight shield (4) to the vehicle.
- Install the injector sight shield nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
