Inspect trim fit near heater and A/C control, steering wheel controls and personalization control for interference causing a stuck switch.

  1. Start the engine.
  2. Verify all the instrument panel outlets are open.
  3. Operate the system. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

Verify that the customer is using the correct key to enable personalization and is not inadvertently activating steering wheel or passenger HVAC controls.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the HVAC control module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement .
