Circuit Description

The DIC monitors the DIC internal switch signal circuits in order to perform various functions. The DIC detects a signal activation when the signal circuit is low.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

B2838

The DIC detects that the Reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B3564

The DIC detects that the Select Right switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B3569

The DIC detects that the Select Down switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B3752

The DIC detects that the On/Off switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The DIC ignores the malfunctioning switch circuit.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

    • The current DTC becomes history when the fault is no longer present.
    • The DIC receives a clear code command from the scan tool.

Did you perform the Driver Information Center Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the suspect DIC switch parameter in the DIC inputs list.
  4. Depress the suspect DIC switch.

Does the switch parameter change state?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Replace the driver information center. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 4

  1. Clear the DTCs using the scan tool.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.

Does the DTC reset?

Go to Step 2
