The fuel door release system contains the following components:
• | The fuel door/trunk release switch |
• | The driver's door switch |
• | The driver's door module (DDM) |
• | The rear integration module (RIM) |
• | The fuel door release relay |
• | The fuel door release solenoid |
The RIM operates the relays when it receives a class 2 message from
the DDM. The RIM will then verify that the vehicle is in park before releasing
the fuel door.
The valet switch is used as a manual override for the system and must
be closed in order for the release systems to work properly.
