    • J 43442 Flywheel Holder

    Important: Engine flywheel installation requires adequate space for installation. If the engine stand does not allow suitable space to use the J 36660-A install the engine flywheel with the engine properly supported on the floor or on a bench.

  1. Place the engine flywheel in position on the crankshaft.
  2. Install two bolts in location at the top and bottom of the engine flywheel bolt pattern allowing the engine flywheel to hang in position.

  3. Object Number: 539958  Size: SH
  4. Install the J 43442 .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the remaining engine flywheel bolts.
  7. Tighten

    1. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts an additional 50 degrees using the J 36660-A .
  8. Remove the J 43442 .
