Cleaning Procedure
- Clean the oil pump components (1-8) with non-corrosive solvent.
- Dry the oil pump components with compressed air.
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
Inspection Procedure
- Inspect the housing (1) and the cover (7) for cracks, scoring, casting imperfections, and damaged threads.
- Inspect the gerotor gears (5, 6) for chipping, galling or excessive wear.
- Inspect the pressure relief valve components (2-4) for embedded particles and/or damage.
Important: The internal parts of the oil pump are not serviced separately. If wear or damage is noted, replace the entire pump assembly.
