Cleaning Procedure
- Clean the balance shaft cover in solvent.
- Dry the balance shaft cover with compressed air.
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
Inspection Procedure
- Inspect the balance shaft cover gasket sealing surfaces (1) for excessive scratches or gouging.
- Inspect the balance shaft cover baffles (2) for damage.
- Inspect the balance shaft cover bolt holes (1) for damage.
- Repair or replace the balance shaft cover as necessary.
