Cylinder Head Removal - Left Side Aurora


    Object Number: 520821  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear torque strut mounting bracket bolt and nut from the left cylinder head.
  2. Remove the rear torque strut mounting bracket from the left cylinder head.
  3. Remove the rear torque strut mounting bracket stud from the left cylinder head.

  4. Object Number: 233787  Size: SH
  5. Remove the M6 external drive bolts (1, 3) from the front portion of the left cylinder head. Note the location of the longer M6 bolt (1).
  6. Important: DO NOT reuse the old M11 cylinder head bolts.

  7. Remove and discard the M11 internal drive cylinder head bolts (2).
  8. Remove the left cylinder head. Ensure that no dowel guide pins are stuck in the left cylinder head.

  9. Object Number: 233785  Size: SH
  10. Remove the left cylinder head gasket. Ensure that all of the gasket material is removed.
  11. Place the left cylinder head on a flat, clean surface with the combustion chambers face-up in order to prevent damage to the deck face.

Cylinder Head Removal - Left Side Intrigue


    Object Number: 233205  Size: SH
  1. Remove the heater outlet pipe rear bolt.

  2. Object Number: 326337  Size: SH
  3. Remove the heater outlet pipe front bolt.
  4. Remove the heater outlet pipe.

  5. Object Number: 520841  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear torque strut mounting bracket bolts from the left cylinder head.
  7. Remove the rear torque strut mounting bracket from the left cylinder head.

  8. Object Number: 233787  Size: SH
  9. Remove the M6 external drive bolts (1, 3) from the front portion of the left cylinder head. Note the location of the longer M6 bolt (1).
  10. Important: DO NOT reuse the old M11 cylinder head bolts.

  11. Remove and discard the M11 internal drive cylinder head bolts (2).
  12. Remove the left cylinder head. Ensure that no dowel guide pins are stuck in the left cylinder head.

  13. Object Number: 233785  Size: SH
  14. Remove the left cylinder head gasket. Ensure that all of the gasket material is removed.
  15. Place the left cylinder head on a flat, clean surface with the combustion chambers face-up in order to prevent damage to the deck face.
