Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the IP retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the dash integration module (DIM) from the bracket.

  3. Object Number: 291175  Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear 2 DIM module bracket screws.
  5. Reposition the DIM module bracket to gain access to the recirculation actuator.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the recirculation actuator.
  7. Remove the recirculation actuator retaining screws.

  8. Object Number: 292146  Size: SH
  9. Remove the recirculation actuator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 292146  Size: SH
  1. Install the recirculation actuator.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recirculation actuator retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the recirculation actuator.

  6. Object Number: 291175  Size: SH
  7. Position the DIM module bracket to its original position.
  8. Install the rear 2 DIM module bracket retaining screws.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  10. Install the DIM module into the bracket.
  11. Install the IP retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  12. Recalibrate the actuators. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
