TOWING BEHIND A MOTORHOME (INFORMATION)

TOWING BEHIND A MOTORHOME - ALL BRAVADAS

(Section No. 0) ---------------

If a Bravada is towed on all four wheels behind a motor home, it is important to advise the customer that steps should be taken to prevent damage to the drivetrain.

The removal of the front and rear propeller shaft is required when the Bravada is being towed.

Prior to shaft removal, alignment marks must be made on all mating flanges and surfaces between the final drive, transfer case and transmission so that the factory balance can be maintained during reassembly. Refer to Section 4A of the applicable Bravada Service Manual.

This procedure is not intended for the "do-it yourselfer", it is expressly intended for the use of a qualified technician.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
