  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to LO.
  3. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E8, to ground using a J 39200 .

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Check for a poor connection at connector C211, or for an open in the pigtail to the wiper/washer switch.

Is a poor connection or an open present?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Standard or Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the poor connection or the open.

Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E5, to ground using a J 39200 .

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal A, to ground using a J 39200 .

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V
