Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 740920  Size: SH
  1. Open the instrument panel (IP) compartment and release the stop latch in order to lower IP compartment to the full down position.
  2. Remove the 5 screws that retain the IP compartment jamb trim panel to the Instrument panel (IP).

  3. Object Number: 692026  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector to the socket assembly.
  5. Remove the trim panel from the IP.
  6. Release the socket assembly retaining tabs.
  7. Remove the socket assembly from the trim panel.
  8. Remove the bulb from the socket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 740920  Size: SH
  1. Install the bulb to the socket.
  2. Install the trim panel to the IP.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 5 screws that retain the IP compartment jamb trim panel to the IP.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  6. Position the socket assembly to the trim panel and connect the electrical connector.
  7. Install the socket assembly to the trim panel. Verify that the retaining tabs are fully seated.
  8. Close the IP compartment.
