The following procedures should be used to submit a warranty claim to Oldsmobile when using the T-1 00 GM CAMS for vehicle system diagnosis.
Standard times have been assigned on General Motors vehicles for use of the Vehicle Service Monitor (VSM), Dynamic Display and Diagnostics for diagnosing customer complaint vehicles under warranty. A combination of diagnosis times will be allowed up to 0.7 of an hour.
Actual CAMS diagnostic times will be provided on the printout of the GM CAMS terminal. Dealers are to submit the claim using the appropriate labor operation number that corrected the vehicle problem and enter amount of actual CAMS diagnosis time (not to exceed .7 hr.) in the (other labor hours) field.
In cases where a repair is not performed (no trouble found) select a labor operation number closest to the area that is suspect and enter the amount of actual time in the (other labor hours) field.
The printout from the GM CAMS terminal is to be attached to the scrapping copy of the repair order to substantiate the claim.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
