INADEQUATE WINDSHIELD DEFROST (INSTALL REVISED GRILL)

SUBJECT: INADEQUATE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER PERFORMANCE - INSTALL REVISED GRILLE

MODELS/YEARS: 1991 CUSTOM CRUISER

CONDITION: Inadequate windshield defroster performance.

CAUSE: Inadequate air flow to the base of the windshield.

CORRECTION: Install revised defroster grille.

Information and Part Numbers: Vehicles built on or after May 6, 1991 will have the revised defroster grille. However, some vehicles built before this date may also have the revised defroster grille. The build date is located on a label on the rear of the left hand door.

The revised grille may be identified by the vertical vanes measuring 12 mm (1 5/32") in height versus 5 mm (9/32") on the older grille. Following is a list of the revised defroster grille assembly part numbers by usage and color.
