Was the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  3. Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage in CKT 1600 between terminal B9 of the instrument cluster connector and ground.

Is the measured voltage to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage in CKT 1440 between terminal A1 of the instrument cluster connector and ground.

Is the measured voltage to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between the instrument cluster connector terminal B9 and B10.

Is the measured voltage to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between the instrument cluster connector terminal A1 and A4.

Is the measured voltage to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 7

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 1600. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
