A waterproof, clear plastic deflector is used in order to perform the following functions:

    • Seal the door inner panel
    • Prevent the entry of water

The deflector is secured to the inner panel with a reusable waterproof adhesive. This allows access as needed to service the door components.

Removal Procedure

Important: 

   • Use waterproof tape in order to reseal the deflector (1) if the deflector becomes loose or damaged.
   • Ensure that the adhesive does not separate from the water deflector. Install a new water deflector if the adhesive separates from the water deflector (1).

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 276284  Size: SH
  3. Remove the door water deflector.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276282  Size: SH
  1. Install the door water deflector (1).
  2. Ensure that the original fastener holes in the deflector are located in the original positions.
  3. Ensure that the adhesive is below the door drain slot.

  5. Install the door trim panel (1). Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
