Removal Procedure
- Close the sunroof.
- Remove the headlining trim finish panel. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the following components:
• | The sunroof express module |
- Disconnect the following connections from the sunroof housing:
4.1. | The rear drain hose connections |
4.2. | The front drain hose connections |
- Remove the sunroof module bolts.
- Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sunroof module
to the vehicle through the door opening.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the sunroof
module bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the sunroof module bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the following connections to the sunroof housing:
3.1. | The front drain hose connections |
3.2. | The rear drain hose connections |
- Connect the electrical connector to the following components:
• | The sunroof express module |
- Install the headlining trim finish panel. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Inspect the sunroof for proper operation.
