Go to Power Seats System Check

1. Ensure that a proper connection of the power seat switch exists.
2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the power seat switch between terminal G and terminal H.
3. Move the power seat switch to the forward and back positions.

Does the test lamp light with the switch in both positions?

Go to Step 4

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the forward-back motor connector between terminal A and ground.
2. Move the power seat switch to the forward position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Seats System Check

--

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the forward-back motor connector between terminal B and ground.
2. Move the power seat switch to the back position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 285 between the power seat switch and the forward-back motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Power Seats System Check

Replace the forward-back motor. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Seats System Check

--

Repair the open in CKT 284 between the power seat switch and the forward-back motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
