Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window panel trim. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 280512  Size: SH
  3. Unsnap the cables from the retaining clips (3).
  4. Remove the striker bolts.

  5. Object Number: 280510  Size: SH
  6. Remove the striker (1) from the rear shelf panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 280510  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the striker (1) to the rear shelf panel.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the striker (1) to the rear shelf panel bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the cables into the retaining clips (3).
  4. Install the rear window panel trim. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement .
