--------- Rear wheelhouse moulding may come loose from flange on some 1992 W-car convertibles.
---------- Drill pilot hole through moulding and flange. Drive self tapping screw GM# 11508231. This will retain the moulding in the proper position. See attached illustration.
1. Use grease pencil to mark location of rear fascia on properly positioned moulding. See attached illustration.
2. Remove wheelhouse liner fasteners and remove wheelhouse liner.
3. Remove fascia attachments and re-position fascia for clearance during drilling operations.
4. Position wheelhouse moulding on flange.
WHILE DRILLING, SPOT WELDS MAY BE ENCOUNTERED, - WEAR SAFETY GLASSES TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY.
5. Measure down 10 mm (3/8") from the grease pencil line and go to the centre of the moulding and drill a 3.6 mm (9/64") pilot hole through the moulding and wheelhouse flange.
6. Install self tapping screw GM# 11508231 in pilot hole. See illustration View 'A'.
7. Re-install the fascia and wheelhouse liner.
8. Repeat above steps for the other side.
